Sirius and XM channel to merge next week
As many of you know satellite radio is new growing way to receive music while on the go or at home, the office or wherever. Personally while on the go an iPhone with a good supply of music is sufficient for me. While stationed iTunes or Pandora radio are my go choices. That however is another story.
Sirius and XM satellite Radio have a combined paid customer base of more then 19 million. With the merger even in these economic times they are still expecting to see subscriber growth.
At this time it’s not known what new channels will emerge. However, many current stations will be merged as it wouldn’t make sense to have duplicate content.
XM subscribers will have the option to pay around $4 more put month to get Sirius content such as NFL and Howard Stern.
